low-carb-high-fat-intro

Hey, have you heard about the 5:2 intermittent fasting diet? And what about the meal replacement Isage*#^ system? The soup diet? Come on, surely the lemon detox diet is the way to go? And if all else fails, you could go back to counting calories with Weight Watc”#@, or get calorie controlled home delivered meals (processed beyond belief) by Lean Cuisi@*” (proudly owned by the same company that puts more sugar into your daily consumption than you would care to know about).

We’ve been bombarding our social media, newsletters, blogs and studio notice board with messages, tips, articles, scientific research, facts and figures relating to the benefits of adopting a diet that’s high in fat and low in carbohydrates. There’s absolutely nothing romantic, excessive and more importantly, marketable about adopting this way of eating. Real food, that is as close to it’s natural form as possible. No nutrition panels, no detox programs, no supplements/additives/vitamins, no calorie counting and reward systems. No more brand name cereals, oats, breads, grains, legumes, canned/tinned food or sauces. You simply plan your meals for the week, go to the market, buy your fresh veggies, meat/chicken/fish, fat, nuts and fruit. Your pantry is filled with herbs & spices, nuts & seeds, and good quality oils.

Why? Because we know the truth and short & long term health benefits associated with making these changes to your diet. This is not a fad; it’s a revolution. I listen to Vicky’s word as gospel. If you could be a fly on the wall and see how much research, studying, learning and continual education Vicky engages in, you would not question her authority on this topic. I, on the other hand, am a lot more hands on with my approach to not letting my education get in the way of my applied learning. With me, it’s a matter of trying and testing, finding out what works best, and then leading by example. If Vicky is more of the nutrition specialist, then I am more of the body-in-motion expert.

  • your friend who had amazing results doing the XXX program
  • the breakfast morning show
  • your Facebook news feed
