Wishes can come true.

For the longest time, I would wake up in the morning and the first thought to enter my head was ‘I wonder what my skin looks like today? How many new pimples had come up? What would I see in the mirror?’

Sometimes I wouldn’t wash my face in fear of making the spots appear redder. I would avoid turning the lights on in my bedroom because it would upset me to see so clearly the awful break outs on my face. I cancelled social events and never attended sleep overs- there was no way I would be seen without my make up.

All this may seem over the top, but anyone who has suffered from acne can understand my desire for my pimples to disappear. Every birthday wish I had, every chicken bone wish and every wish in between was to have clear skin.

Having tried antibiotics, the pill and every topical cream under the sun, I went through the frustration of not being able to find something that worked and felt disappointed by the bandaid solutions that were available to me- creams and medication that only worked for as long as I was on them.
It was Chinese Herbal Medicine that healed my skin and granted me my wish for clear skin. When I started my business, I had access to a whole herbal dispensary and formulated a decoction focused on healing my body from the inside out. I was so thrilled to have found a real solution to my acne, something that would not only banish my acne, but something that would keep it away for good. Chinese Medicine does this by treating the root cause of what was causing pimples to form and balances the body out to reveal healthy and clear skin.

This was the start of my passion to use Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture to help achieve real results and provide real solutions to people that suffer from long standing and stubborn problems. This story is my first personal experience with how Chinese Herbal Medicine changed my life and it has helped me in so many different ways since. It has gotten me through colds and flus, it has supported my sensitive digestion, helped me sleep better and it has even gotten rid of my every-other-day leg cramps.

Enough about me, what about other people? Just last week, I helped a patient of mine achieve her wish of being able to just have a settled and healthy digestion so she could end the embarrassment of constantly ‘looking like she was 6 months pregnant’. In the same week, I received the happy news from a patient that had been seeing me for acupuncture that she was pregnant after trying unsuccessfully for 18 months.

With a little bit of help, sometime wishes do come true.
