I actually love swimming. Nothing like spending an hour with my head below water not having to listen to or talk to anyone. I love the serenity and I love the way it makes my body feel – lengthened and strong without the impact and soreness that running can bring. I especially love how good I feel after an early morning swim followed by a good breakkie and a great coffee. So why the hell haven’t I swum for the last 2-3 months?? Good question really…
Anyway tomorrow I’m heading back to the pool to join Johnny’s early morning swim squad at Sandringham for a very solid 3km wake-up call and I’m excited!! I know I’m going to be cursing when my alarm goes off at 4:40am tomorrow morning, but I also know I’ll be feeling fantastic (or fabulous, hehe) for the rest of the day.
Jojo your challenge is to get back into the water this week too. At least one swim and more if you are really keen. We did plan a swim together for last Friday arvo but it just didn’t happen, maybe we could attempt that again this week hey?
